Student Care

Illness

The school does not have the facilities to care for sick children. When a pupil becomes ill while on school property, the principal or designate will keep the student comfortable at school until the parent arrives or authorizes the student's release. Transportation will be the responsibility of the parent.

Student Supervision

To ensure the safety of all children, supervision is provided throughout the whole school day. Students are not permitted to leave the school grounds during the lunch hour without a note from parents.

Medication

Medication is administered only with parent's/guardian's written permission on a form completed in full by the parents/guardians and the doctor. This form will be filed in the student's OSR. An individual Student Log of Medication Administration is maintained. No medication will be given by the staff without a consent form. Some students may administer their own medication.
