School History

St. Joseph's School was built in 1950 and opened in 1951 with a Gymnasium and Annex added to the school in 1972. This two story, brick-veneer school was again renovated in 1989 making it completely wheelchair accessible from John Street. In addition, handicapped lifts have been built in both wings of the school. 

The school houses 15 classrooms, a gymnasium, change rooms, a library, and a computer lab. It is situated on 6 acres of property, with its back yard adjacent to the Arnprior Memorial Hospital and the Arnprior District High School.
