Mme St-Élier taught grades 2-7 Core

 French in 1999\2000.  Students

 received 35 minutes daily of mainly oral

 French.  They studied a variety of  themes

 within the French   programme: some 

 units covered this year included:

*Au Travail: a unit on careers involving guest

 speakers and presenting speeches for  6/7  

* l'Aviation: this unit described the history of 

flight and included poetry writing for 5/6       

*Les fourmis: Ants, including writing and 

publishing of a patterned book on insects for  

grade 5s.                                                            

  * Marie ma mère: unit about Mary and family 

with a prayer service organized by 4s
