Holy Name: 1000 Items for St. Joseph's Food Bank

Staff and students donated 1000 non perishable items during our annual food drive for the St. Joseph Food Bank. Each class also purchased a toy for the Salvation Army's Christmas Toy Drive.

Mr. Leitch's Winning Colours

Our Christmas food drive at St. Francis collected about 400-500 pounds. Great show. As an incentive I challenged all 'houses' to beat one another. Whichever one won I would have my head painted that color. How do I get into these things? -Mr. John Leitch, Principal

Members of Mrs. Kuiack's Grade 1-2 class (with help from parent supervisor) baking cookies to distribute to local seniors for Christmas. From other classes... $413.00 plus non-perishable goods for food bank, toys for local toy drive, friendship kits for Dominican Republic, money toward Diocesan Chorillos Peru project, postcards and letters to veterans and peacekeepers.

St. Andrew's, Killaloe Walk-It-Up Shoe Campaign

St. Andrew's took part in the Walk-It-Up Shoe campaign before Christmas. They were able to collect over 30 pairs of shoes, as well as many small “treats” to fill the shoe boxes with small items that children would enjoy, such as socks, pencils, crayons, pens, colouring books, jewellery, hair accessories, books, and small games.

Our Lady of Sorrows, Petawawa

Our Lady of Sorrows performing a school wide Christmas Musical entitled The Christmas Animals on Wednesday, December 19th and Thursday, December 20th. Students and staff also raised a total of $560.00 that was donated to the St. Joseph's Food Bank.
